2.1 When you visit our website

When you visit workwithreal.com, our web server automatically records the following information (server logs):

  • IP address (anonymised after 24 hours)
  • Date and time of the request
  • Page accessed and referring URL
  • Browser type and operating system
  • HTTP status code and data volume transferred

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — our legitimate interest in maintaining website security and performance. Server logs are deleted after 7 days.

2.2 Analytics (PostHog)

With your consent, we use PostHog to understand how visitors use our website. PostHog processes data on EU servers (eu.i.posthog.com) operated by PostHog Inc. We have configured PostHog to:

  • Anonymise IP addresses
  • Not use cross-site tracking
  • Store data exclusively within the EU

Analytics is only activated after you give explicit consent via our cookie banner. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR — your consent. You can withdraw consent at any time by clicking "Cookie Settings" in our footer.

2.3 Contact and Scheduling (Calendly)

If you book a call through Calendly, your data (name, email, selected time slot) is processed by Calendly Inc., 271 17th St NW, Atlanta, GA 30363, USA. Calendly is an EU–US Data Privacy Framework certified service. For Calendly's privacy policy, see calendly.com/privacy.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR — performance of a pre-contractual relationship.

2.4 Email Contact

When you email us at info@workwithreal.com, we store your email address and message content for the purpose of responding to your inquiry. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries.

3. Cookies and Storage

We use a cookie consent manager (Klaro, operated by KIProtect GmbH, Germany) to manage your preferences. Klaro itself only stores your consent preferences in your browser's localStorage — no tracking cookies are set before you give consent.

The following cookies and storage mechanisms may be used, subject to your consent:

  • Klaro consent preferences — localStorage, stores your cookie choices. No consent required (functional necessity).
  • PostHog analytics — localStorage + cookies, activated only with your consent.

4. Your Rights Under GDPR

  • Erasure — request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
  • Restriction — request we restrict processing of your data

5. Data Transfers Outside the EU

We prioritise EU-based data processing. Where data is transferred outside the EU (e.g. Calendly in the USA), we rely on adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) as safeguards under Art. 46 GDPR.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purpose it was collected, or as required by law. Contact email correspondence is retained for up to 3 years. Analytics data (if consented) is retained for up to 12 months.
